Returning to Rarotonga in 2009 Barry travelled north to the island of Atiu, a raised coral atoll with a remarkable history, local traditions and distinctive geological structure. Home to the distinctive Kopeka (Swallow) that breeds in the vast limestone caves Atiu is also known as island of the birds.
